Upcoming Events

  • Disciplines

    American Skeet

American Skeet is a popular clay target shooting discipline where shooters aim to break clay targets launched from two machines—one from high and one from low positions—across a semi-circular shooting layout.

    Ball Trap

Ball Trap is a fast, exciting variant of Trap shooting using a single trap throwing targets at wider angles and longer distances.

    Down-the-Line Trap

A beginner-friendly clay shooting discipline where targets are launched away from the shooter in a predictable pattern.

    Olympic Skeet (ISSF)

An Olympic discipline where shooters target clay discs launched from high and low machines in random order. The sport tests both speed and precision, making it a fast-paced challenge in international shooting competitions.

    Olympic Trap (ISSF)

An intensely challenging international discipline featuring 15 randomly selected target paths launched at high speeds from underground bunkers.

    Sporting Clays / 5 Stand

Often called "golf with a shotgun," this discipline simulates hunting scenarios with varied target presentations across multiple shooting stations.

    Tower

Tower is a specific discipline of clay target shooting where clays are launched from a high tower, typically around 10 to 15 metres tall, presenting a consistent but vertically challenging target flight. It’s officially recognised in some shooting organisations, especially in Australia, as a fun and competitive variation of trap shooting.

    Universal Trench

Universal Trench is a popular choice among shooters who enjoy variety and challenge, and it serves as a great training ground for those looking to progress into higher-level trap disciplines.

    About us

Formed in 1983 this little country club has gone from strength to strength. Now boasting five Canterbury DTL layouts, a Mattarelli Skeet layout and Mattarelli Trench layout, a Tower, a Ball Trap and approval for a Sporting Clays layout, the highlight of the calendar is the Annual Shoot on the fourth weekend in May each year.

In recent years the camp grounds have extended and additional facilities have been added to accommodate the population swell over that weekend. The event is fully catered, with sumptuous camp oven meals throughout and practice available prior to the weekend.

Many visitors spend the week and try their luck in the mighty Norman River in search of Gulf Barramundi, and take a short trip on the historic Gulflander rail motor.
