Competition Days
MCTC Competition Day is the 3rd Sunday of each month. Contact the club to confirm prior to the event.
Practice Days
Trap (DTL) Practice is available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 0900hrs-1100hrs
Firearm Safety Courses
The club regularly hosts Firearm Safety Courses that are run by First Shot Training Solutions. Call 0458 013 820 for more information on upcoming courses.
Corporate Events
The club hosts many corporate event days and is open to discussions on how we might be able to help you. Contact the club directly to discuss.

A dynamic combination of sporting clays and trap shooting where competitors rotate through stations facing targets with diverse trajectories.
Down-the-Line Trap
A beginner-friendly clay shooting discipline where targets are launched away from the shooter in a predictable pattern.
Sporting Clays / 5 Stand
Often called "golf with a shotgun," this discipline simulates hunting scenarios with varied target presentations across multiple shooting stations.

Queensland has a proud history of success in clay target shooting at national and international levels. Through our state team selection processes, we identify and support Queensland's top shooters to represent our state at National Championships and other prestigious events.
About us
Located in the heart of the Fraser Coast region, Maryborough Clay Target Club is a long-standing and proudly operated ACTA-affiliated club offering a friendly, inclusive environment for clay target shooting enthusiasts.
Our club caters to a range of clay target disciplines, welcoming shooters of all experience levels—from newcomers looking to learn the sport in a safe and structured environment, to seasoned competitors aiming to refine their skills.
We host regular competition shoots throughout the year and provide a relaxed, social atmosphere backed by experienced volunteers and a strong sense of community. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or looking for a club to call home, you’ll find warm country hospitality, well-maintained facilities, and great shooting at Maryborough.
Visitors are always welcome to come and see what the club is all about. ACTA membership is required to participate in competition events.
